6 Apart's Chris Alden responds to Pownce Users
http://www.sixapart.com/blog/2008/12/welcome-pownce-team.html
We get it you don't care about us. We are expendable. As Bugs Bunny once said on a looney tunes cartoon, If you can't beat 'em Join 'em. I can't figure out why I'm here or if I want to be here or if this is just the rebound after the break up. Part of me really likes vox, sure it has identity problems, and some feature creeping. If it was streamlined it could actually be a great service, but at times I feel like the company 6 Apart is doing nothing to make it comfortable for pownce users to enjoy their service. I also feel like they constantly shit on the pownce users. Pownce users weren't just on pownce because Mike and Leah were, it wasn't a webrity fan site it was a community that has now been ripped up and left for dead,
t's a very nice fuck you letter and well written Chris. I wouldn't have expected anything less. I know how these things work, it really isn't personal it's just a business decision. I'm not here to shoot the messenger, this wasn't Chris's decision alone, hell he may not have had anything to do with it at all but he's just the deliever. It seems to me that the problem is that the Pownce users are saying." Hey guys, just give us the truth, you put us in the dark, and gave us little time to prepare for this, we'd just like some honesty. We want you to atleast pretend to care about us. We want to know all the whys, and hows of how this thing went down. Please, don't you think you owe us that much'.
Instead 6 Apart says "Here guys, don't worry, everything is going to be fine, but in the meantime here is a big plate of shit for you to eat".
This is why 6 Apart* gets my Monthly Shit on a Plate award. Wear it proud, like a badge of honor!
*Sure you aren't as bad as last years Decemeber winner. A magazine company that claimed to give educational books and magazines to underprivilaged kids with your 20 dollar donation, and yet the magazines and books were never delieverd. But your lack of compassion toward the pownce users is very douchey and for that you get shit on a plate.

On the user side, Mike, Leah, Daniel and the others built more than just a website. They had created a community of people. And today everybody knows that a community of worth money. And this is why it's sad, it looks like the developers just forget about it, and 6A also doesn't care. ON the business side, leaving users is not a big deal, as &A already has one. But on the other side, Users how inverst themself i the project just get disgusted to see that they diid "all what they did" for nothing.
And if you read careffully between the line, it shines that Leah and Mike found a job, Pownce wasn't in the deal at all....
