I watched the season premier of V last night and loved it. There was a lot going on in one episode even though it seemed a bit rushed at points I thought the characters and the acting was awesome.

I was just giving it a chance. I said if this first episode sucks I won't be dvring it again but since it was extremely awesome I will be looking forward to watching it on Tuesday Nights.

Her Compost Cookie is a chewy-crunchy, salty-sweet, hot mess of corn flakes, coffee grounds, graham cracker crumbs, potato chips, and butterscotch chips. I can't imagine what it taste like but the potato chips must give it that saltiness that combinds with the sweet. I'd sure love to try it. If anyone has tried it what does it taste like?

They also serve a fruity pebbles and marshmellow cookie only on Saturday's and Sundays. This is also quite interesting but this one seems very sweet. I'm sure kids love it and perhaps that is why they serve it only on the weekends. Tosi is like what would happen if willy wonka was a pastry chef.

Another Item I would be dying to sink my sweet tooth into is the candy bar pie. This thing is glorious. I don't even have to taste it to know it would be one of my favorite pies of all time. I mean look at it, it's a mound of all kinds of candy bar parts topped with chocolate and pretzles. This is what dreams are made out of, or atleast my dreams.

The thing Christina Tosi is most famous for is her cereal milk which she makes by toasting corn flakes and steeping them in sweetened milk, and is used to flavor soft-serve ice cream, milk, and pie. It is said to be so flavorful. It probably brings back childhoos memories, of slurping the last little bit of milk out of the cereal bowl.

My inner child is screaming for joy next time I'm in NYC. I am making a beeline to the milk bar.

Today I mostly <del>relaxed </del>recovered from Saturday. I took friends to Epcots Food and Wine Fest in the hot heat. Yes it was hot. The high was 88 which wasn't bad really but when your drinking around the world you can get dehyrdated quickly. A stop in the air conditioning watching an 18 minute movie in France and drinking a bottle of water helped fix that. The sun was pretty hot and I did manage to get a little red on the face and chest, not sun burn just a little color.

I'm going to do a whole write up of the food and the event later but one thing I want to say is that there was something that was also interesting to me besides the food and wine and beer. The design behind the food and wine fest. They had these neatly designed banners than I thought were very awesome. Case in point New Orleans. See what they did there? They used the inspiration of French New Orleans a common symbol the Fleur de Lis and used that to stylize the crawfish. So simple yet a splash of brilliance.

Nick wasn't able to go as planned so it was just me and the friends and by 6:30 he was calling me asking me if I wanted to go to the wrap party for the short film he has been working on. I haven't got to really hang out with him in 2 weeks, We were nearing the end of our journey at epcot, one small problem my friends picked me up and they weren't planning on leaving until 9pm, So I asked Nick if he could swing by and pick me up. He did but this means I would have no time to get ready I had to go downtown as is. I was regretting wearing jeans ealier in the day but now I was glad, I wish I had other shoes besides sneakers and I wish I could do my hair and put on make up but I couldn't. So I ran a brush through my hair and put on some flavored colored chapstick. Thank god my deoderdant was still working.

We went downtown to the wrap party where caught my second wind. We started at an irish bar where I was successfully able to identify the swords on the wall, and prove to the guy next to me that no that is not "Bravehearts, sword" as he said it was which he didn't even know that bravehearts sword is a Claymore nor did he know how big those period of claymores where, nor did he realize that William Wallace is scottish not Irish.

I think I realized something though. I had survived a long day at Epcots food and wine fest, and had made it to a wrap party downtown as I watched some of these guys do tequilla shot after tequilla shot I realized that sometimes we are so rushing to the finish line and for this guy the finish line may have been met with a meeting with the porcelian god. But sometimes the most fun is somewhere in the middle. I have to remember that, I have to remember not to get to carried away sometimes.

Nick is working all nights on a short film for two weeks. Basic regualr film days are 12 hours. He's usually 6 pm to 6am somtimes more. This means two things, First we only see each other in passing, I'm about to wake up when he gets home and he leaves right before I get home from work and secondly It's been dificult making sure he gets enough sleep.

With the dog not understanding fully why he is sleeping in the office on the futon (The room actually gets darker than our bedroom, he says the darkness during the day helps him sleep better). The dog has been pretty good though, when I leave for work she will want into the room, so I open the door and she goes and lays down with him. I leave the door cracked so she can get in an out when she is ready to eat or play with her toys.

The largest problem for me is my lunch break. Specifically the ones that are an hour long. On those days I usually go out to eat or come home for lunch. I live close by. I only go out to eat once a week or less. I went out wednesday to lunch so today I want to go home for lunch. One problem I don't want to wake nick up. Yesterday I noticed he had to wake up at 2. So I'm waiting until 1:30 to go to lunch. I'm going to drop by and pick up some lunch for him and then head to the house by the time I pick up the food and get there it should be close to 2. I just have 1 and half more hours to go. I usually eat lunch around 11.30-noon. lol. I'm good right now but I know I'll be so hungry at 1:30 lol.

Nick and I had organized our cds. It was neat to see all the old cds we have bought over the years. Especially the 90's rock like Nirvana Unplugged, Sponge, EverClear. We don't buy cds like we used to, now its all 99 cent songs from itunes. I kinda miss the cds it gives you are representation of the musicians art of music. There are some cds worth buying GreenDay's Dookie, sure you could by the 3 or four popular songs from itunes by the cd it's self has so much more, and there are some on there that I loved that never became that popular.

Also I love my music with substance. How a song can tell a story, or express and emotion. I need more to my musical lyrics that bubble gummy fluff Pop. I want real human emotions and stories and I think I seem to be seeing less and less of that lately in the music that is coming out. I realized this while listening to Sponge's Molly yesterday.

The song tells a story of a young women who so deeply loved a man who could not return her love. She attempts to commit suicide. I can't tell if she actually does succeed in comming suicide. The lyrics "Sixteen Candles down the drain could be interpretted several ways. As in Dying, or as in innocence and happiness lost. I also find Sponge to be one of the most Under rated 90's bands with hits like plowed, molly, wax estatic, have you seen mary? they deserve to be recognized. Also I remember singing the lyrics wrong. For the longest time I thought he said cigarette stains on your ass. I was wondering how that was possible.

Molly

see you naked in the bath
cigarette stains on your hands

Since I was the only one interested in watching the Emmys last night I watched them online and was able to tweet and comment and chat with others about what people had thought. So here is my recap of the emmys

*NPH has reached the highest level of Awesome. Props on hosting the show, props on getting props from Jon Stewart, and props on the jokes about you loosing to John Cryer/

* John Cryer winning stuck me as odd, I was routing for NPH but I understand that this was Cryers first emmy win for his role which encompasses a larger body of work. Meaning, he should have got the emmy some time ago, and they thought, why not now, NPH is still young, he'll get his eventually too.

*Kristin Chenoweth - She wins my award for best speech of the night, she managed to pack an acceptance speech and a job plea before her time ran out and she did so while still being endearing. I'm unemployed now, so I'd like to be on 'Mad Men.' And I'd also like to be on 'The Office' and '24,'

* Holy jumping Dingos! I did not realize Toni Collette was an Aussie with such a heavy accent. Her Work in United States of Tara is brilliant. Love you Tina but Toni did deserve the award.

*Jim Parsons was robbed. Alec is good on 30 Rock but the best actor this season was Jim's portrail of Sheldon, the highly strung, OCD-ish, elite yet lovable nerd on The Big Bang Theory. I believe that he really makes that show. I find it funny that he was nominated for Best Lead Actor. I always thought he was supposed to be supporting next to Galeki's Leonard who was supposed to be lead.

*Wow Shohreh Aghdashloo is a very stunning woman. I actually like her raspy voice, it's haunting but the poor woman was so nervous and excited last night she sounded as if she had emphysema.

* Okay, I thought I threw out that old bedsheet I made into a toga for a toga party back in 2002, so how the hell did Leighton Meester find it? Wost Dress of the night

* What the hell was Padma from top chef wearing, it was god awful.

* I love Patricia Arquette and I love her figure. I'm against those who think all women should be stick thin or a size 4 or less to act. She is a mom in her show, a new mom in her personal life and she looks wonderful, what I hate is that it looks like someone wy trying to squeeze her into a dress that was a size 4.

*Mad Men won Michael Emerson won the only award for Lost, and Heroes fans are starting to realize that maybe Heroes just totally blows.

* Why did I never put together the fact the Simon Baker is British? Second accent shock of the night for me. I was not a fan of his glasses.

*Favorite Emmy Couple of the night, Kevin Bacon and Kara Sedgewick (she had a gorgeous dress) and NPHs hilarous introduction of them presenting.

Oh and BTW I have been reading a lot of comments after the emmys about what people thought and one of the main things I thought was rediculous was some right wing concervative republicans going off on Tina Fey, Saying they are glad she didn't win Best Actress for 30 Rock, that it was Karma for her liberal views and making fun of Sarah Palin. I about choked on my sip of tea when I read that. I guess they didn't realize that She in fact DID win and emmy for her portrail of Sarah Palin on Saturday Night Live.

* Dr Horrible ftw!

I'm working on making what I call a positive playlist, it's about songs that make you feel good or positive or trying to be positive. Things like Jimmy Eat World's "In the Middle", and Ingrid Michaelson's "Be Ok"

I'm also in search for holiday type songs. I want to make a christmas holiday playlist It doesn't have to be christmas songs but anything that reference the holiday season coming up such as "Long Decemember" by the Counting Crows

I'd really like some suggestions. My musical taste are pretty wide open, not super into a lot of country or hardcore rap but I do like some of it, I'm open to all songs, new and old and any genre just as long as it pertains to either positive or holiday / end of year type stuff.
